About the Project
# **PRIDE FUND INDIA – Education, Healthcare & Empowerment**
With the support of **Pride Fund India**, **Chhattisgarh Mitwa Sankalp Samitee** is working to strengthen opportunities and essential support for transgender individuals in Raipur through education, healthcare, nutrition, counselling, skill development and livelihood support. The initiative aims to improve access to essential services while promoting confidence, dignity, self-reliance and social inclusion.
Under the programme, transgender individuals have received support for **education and competitive examination preparation, healthcare services, Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), laser treatment, nutrition, mental health counselling and emotional support**. **21 beneficiaries** were supported with competitive examination preparation, while **26 individuals** received healthcare and counselling support. **39 beneficiaries** received support related to HRT, laser treatment and nutrition.
The programme also focuses on **skill development and capacity building**, helping transgender individuals develop practical skills and explore opportunities for employment, self-employment and sustainable livelihoods. A significant achievement of the programme was the **selection of 8 transgender individuals as Police Constables in Chhattisgarh**.
With the support of Pride Fund India, the initiative continues to empower transgender individuals through education, healthcare, nutrition, emotional support, skill development and livelihood opportunities, helping them move towards **greater independence, dignity, confidence and a secure future**.
